The Treatment of Chronic Diseases

I mainly work according to the Sankaran method. Over the last 40 years, the Indian doctor Dr Rajan Sankaran has developed an anamnesis technique that he calls the “sensation method”. This involves allowing the patient to lead you deeper and deeper into their individual perception. A kind of “red thread” emerges, a theme inherent in all of the person’s sensations, the basic feeling of life, so to speak. Having reached the innermost core, the homeopathic remedy that the patient needs is revealed. Healing thus takes place on all levels, physically, mentally and spiritually.

A small example:

A man always completes all his tasks at work, even those of his less motivated colleagues. He can’t bear to sit still, he simply has to do something meaningful. He helps his wife as much as he can with the household and children, but still feels no recognition. This makes him feel tiny and weak. He can’t be alone at all, he just can’t bear it.

He is afraid of needles.

For 20 years he has been plagued by a skin rash that stings, burns and is somewhat swollen. Cool applications do him good.

This man’s basic attitude to life is like that of a honeybee: always working hard, living 70,000 to a hive, no room for recognising individuality.

The symptoms of the rash also match those of a bee sting: swelling, burning and stinging. Cold improves the symptoms.

Apis mellifica (potentised honey bee) will help this man.

The healing takes place when this man can let go of the conviction that he has to behave like a honey bee. He can be himself. Then he no longer needs symptoms that express something for him. He will also recover physically.

A chronic illness takes months to years to heal. However, many patients soon notice a significant improvement in their quality of life. Depending on the illness and the age one may have to be satisfied with an improvement and will not be able to achieve a complete cure.
